The Stan Tutt Reading Room was named in honour of local historian
H.S.(Stan) Tutt O.A.M. who became life member of the Historical Society on the 2nd June 1998. 

 Stan has been involved with the Society since its inception in 1973, holding the position of President from 1978 to 1988. He has several publications to his name including Sunshine Coast Heritage and also In Company of Ghosts, an autobiography.

 

The Reading Room 
is housed 
in the old Board Room 
and the entrance is marked by a sign handcrafted
 from recycled 
cedar and beech
 by local 
craftsperson

 Gary Clarke.
