The information centre and shop is located in the entry foyer of the museum.

LANDSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP

Located at the cross roads of the Blackall Range and Glass House Mountains Tourist Route, Landsborough is serviced by electric rail and rail bus.  By car it is 20 minutes to Caloundra on the coast and an hour to Brisbane.

A mosaic of farming activities, forests and residential settlements occur on the plains and undulations surrounding the town.

Nestled at the base of Mt Mellum, Landsborough  is located in a picturesque setting and has a country town atmosphere.

Landsborough is enriched with many places and buildings of heritage and character significance.  A large number of sites within Landsborough and district have been identified as very important and being of cultural landscape significance and worthy of protection.

Many of the area's tourist and recreational opportunities are focused on its natural features and attributes, such as 

• Ewen Maddock Dam, 

• Dularcha National Park 

• the views offered by Mt Mellum and the existing bushland.
