This is the story of three brothers who at one time lived in a bark hut on Bribie, and the people who touched their lives.
The Author found labels from the family’s fish canning business from 1906, that had been kept by her mother. This prompted Audrey to share stories from the early days in Pumicestone Passage and surrounding areas.
The stories start in the late 1800’s and include industries like oystering, shell grit, fish canning and cargo transporting between Brisbane, Bribie and Caloundra. The book includes many black and white illustrations.
